INMerge Innovation Summit — Terms & Conditions for Startups

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the participation of startups (“Startup”, “you”, “your”) in the INMerge Innovation Summit (“Event”) organized by PASHA Holding (“Organizer”, “we”, “us”). Participation includes application submission, selection, participation in pitch programs (e.g., INBattle), match-making, exhibitions, and related activities.
By applying to participate and submitting Startup Data (defined below), you agree to comply with these Terms and the Organizer’s Privacy Policy and Event Rules.
1. Eligibility
1.1 Entity Status. Startup must be legally established (or in formal process of establishment) and own or control the intellectual property (IP) it submits.1.2 Team. Founders and representatives must be ≥18 years old.1.3 Product/Service. Startup should have a product, prototype or validated service ready for presentation.1.4 No Guarantee. Submission does not guarantee selection or specific placements (e.g., main stage).
2. Application, Selection & Participation
2.1 Application Process. Startups must apply through the official Event portal and provide complete Startup Data.
2.2 Selection Criteria. The organizer selects Startups based on the pre-defined selection criteria announced at the page of each recruitment campaign (in forms of “What we are looking for?” or “Our selections are based on” type headers)
2.3 Discretion & Notifications. Selection decisions are final and at the Organizer’s sole discretion. The organizer will notify startups of acceptance status
2.4 Packages & Fees. Startups may be required to purchase tickets or packages depending on the participation tier (Organizers may define these packages on the Event website).
3. Startup Data & Intellectual Property
3.1 Startup Data. Includes any information submitted (business descriptions, financials, product data) as part of application and participation.3.2 Data Use & Sharing. You expressly consent that Startup Data may be:
- used by the Organizer for Event management, communication, marketing, analysis;
- shared with Event Partners, Sponsors, Investors, and Corporates for matchmaking, investment opportunities, research, and ecosystem building;
- included (in aggregate or anonymized format) in reports, summaries, and insights shared with third parties.
3.3 IP Ownership & Licensing. You retain all IP rights to your technology and materials. You grant Organizer a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use Startup name, trademarks, logos and pitch materials for promotional purposes related to INMerge
4. Pitching, Demo, & Showcase Rules
4.1 Preparation. Startups must prepare pitches, demos and materials professionally.4.2 Conduct Standards. All representatives must act respectfully, professionally, and comply with Event staff guidance. Any harassment or unlawful conduct may result in removal.
4.3 Intellectual Property Safety. Organizer is not responsible for IP protection in open pitch or networking settings; startups should take internal precautions.
5. Privacy & Data Protection
5.1 Consent to Data Processing. Collection and use of personal information comply with the Organizer’s Privacy Policy.5.2 Third Party Sharing. Personal data and Startup Data may be shared with Event partners and sponsors for legitimate Event and ecosystem purposes as described above.
6. Investment, Matchmaking & Partners
6.1 No Investment Commitment. Participation in matches, pitch battles, or meetings does not create any guarantee of investment or partnership.6.2 Optional Interactions. Events (including investor matchmaking, exclusive sessions) may have separate eligibility and privacy rules that Startups must accept.
7. Fees, Changes & Cancellation
7.1 Fees. Any Event participation fees, booth costs, or ticket purchases are governed by the Event’s commercial terms.7.2 Changes. Organizer may modify program, speakers, schedules, formats or location.7.3 Cancellation/Postponement. Organizer will notify affected Startups and outline any refund or rescheduling options where applicable.
8. Liability & Indemnity
8.1 No Liability. Organizer is not liable for:
- loss, damage or theft of Startup equipment or materials at the venue;
- personal injury except in cases of gross negligence;
- business outcomes from participation, including failed investment or partnership discussions.
8.2 Indemnification. Startup agrees to indemnify Organizer for claims arising from Startup’s participation, except to the extent caused by Organizer’s gross negligence.
9. Termination
9.1 Breach. Organizer may terminate participation without refund for breach of Terms, unlawful conduct, fraud, or misrepresentation.9.2 Request by Startup. Startups may withdraw in writing but may not be entitled to refund depending on package terms.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Any disputes shall be resolved in relevant Azerbaijani courts.
11. Acceptance
By submitting the application and Startup Data, you confirm acceptance of these Terms, the Event Privacy Policy, and any additional rules communicated by the Organizer.
